Lacrosse Nova Scotia (LNS) is launching an exciting initiative to grow the game, and we need your voice and expertise! We are seeking committee members to join our Sixes Committee and help drive the 2-year implementation plan for Sixes lacrosse across the province.
The Sixes Committee is an advisory operational committee responsible for creating a strategic roadmap for Sixes lacrosse—from initial gameplay to establishing a standalone competition structure with an emphasis on expanding participation outside the HRM.
No previous board experience is required. We welcome passionate community members who bring sound judgment, ask constructive questions, and offer diverse perspectives from across Nova Scotia. Relevant experience can come from professional work, volunteering, sports administration, athlete leadership, education, or lived community experience.
We encourage applications from individuals with interest or experience in any of the following areas:
Technical & Coaching Development: Experience developing coaching materials or facilitating workshops.
Regional Expansion & Competitions: Skill in engaging local clubs and driving regional participation.
Cross-Sector Knowledge: Direct experience working within Box or Field lacrosse sectors to support schedule integration and prevent player burnout.
Operations: Background in facility bookings, referee coordination, budgeting, or event logistics.
Term: 2-year term (renewable by the Board).
Meetings: Evening virtual meetings and select in-person meetings as called by the Chair.
Outside Work: Independent tasks between meetings to support coaching workshops, event models, and growth roadmaps.
To apply, please submit a brief letter of interest and your resume to John Fry at vpdevelopment@lacrossens.ca by October 29th
