Lacrosse Nova Scotia (LNS) is seeking individuals to join our Development Committee and help guide the future of coaching in our sport.
The Development Committee is an advisory operational committee focused on evaluating existing coaching resources, building a comprehensive coaching pathway to improve recruitment and retention, and supporting our local clubs and leagues through implementation.

We are looking for individuals who exercise sound judgment, ask constructive questions, prepare for decisions, and bring valuable insights from the communities we serve. Relevant experience can come from professional work, volunteering, athlete leadership, community organizing, education, public service, or lived experience.
While open to all community members, experience or knowledge in any of the following areas is a great asset:
Multi-Sector Technical Knowledge: Coaching or leadership experience in field or box lacrosse (female field/box experience is an asset).
Coaching Support: Background in coach recruitment, training, and retention.
Program Delivery & Change Management: Experience facilitating workshops or guiding organizations through new program adoption.
Term: 2-year term.
Meetings: 6 virtual evening meetings and 1-2 in-person meetings per year.
Workload: Additional independent work between meetings to support committee goals.
