Team Canada has never won a men’s u20 championship, finishing with 7 silver medals and two bronze medals over the 9 tournaments that have been hosted. The most recent event was 2022 in Limerick, Ireland. Where Canada played a strong tournament going 3-1 in the round robin which placed them second in the group. Canada then went on to defeat host Ireland in the quarterfinals by a score of 17-7, and then Australia 19-1 in the semi finals.
These results led to the highly anticipated final with the 9x champion USA. The game was a tightly contested affair that ultimately saw Canada fall by a score of 12-10. Canadian attacker Ross Scott was named the most valuable attacker in the tournament and joined fellow teammates Graydon Hogg and Levi Verch on the All-World first team.
This years tryouts will take place in three sperate locations.
June 7th-9th Langley, BC at Yorkson Community Centre
July 2nd-3rd Calgary, AB at Genesis Centre
July 24th-25th Oshawa, ON at Oshawa Civic Fields
The requirements to try out for next year’s team is as follows.
1. Players must be under twenty (20), so still 19 years of age, on 31 August 2024.
2. Players must therefore be born from after 31 August 2004 to August 31st, 2008.
FEES
A fee of $300 plus provincial tax will be charged to all players registering for the Evaluation Camp. Each player will receive a Nike t-shirt, practice shorts, and pinnie.
Reminder a player may only sign up for one of the camps.
