1. THIS IS A FUN GAME!
2. EQUAL PLAYING TIME
• 3-15 minute running time periods
• 3 minute shifts (buzzer)
• Teams play 6 a side (5 plus a goalie)
3. CHANGE OF POSSESSION
• After gaining possession in your own zone, the opposing team must completely clear their offensive zone.
• If any challenge is made on the ball carrier, the ball will be returned to that player.
The team, on gaining possession of the ball in their defensive end, shall have 15 seconds to advance the ball into their attacking/offensive zone.
4. PASSING
• On gaining possession, a minimum of 1 pass over either line must be attempted, except when a loose ball is picked up in the offensive zone (then no pass is required).
• A pass must be made over the offensive white line; a player is not allowed to run the ball over this line, into the offensive zone.
- The pass into the offensive zone must be an overhand motion.

5. PENALTIES
• Players assessed with a penalty will proceed to the penalty box for the remainder of the shift; exception: checking from behind will result in a game misconduct.
• Another player from the bench will take his/her place on the floor; teams will not play shorthanded.
6. CHECKING
• The defensive player may use a clamping motion on the offensive stick.
• The defensive player shall not be allowed to initiate contact with the offensive player by using the body or cross check. If the offensive player initiates contact, the defensive player may use a steering motion to guide the player out of the scoring zone.
• A cross check is a penalty.
• A stick coming from above the shoulders onto an opposing player, stick or body, is a penalty as is any attempted stick check that misses and contacts any part of the body.
7. OFFENSIVE CHARGING
• The offensive player shall be penalized if he/she ‘charges’ into an opponent; they must attempt to go around their check.
8. FACE-OFFS
• At the start of the period.
• Only after goals are scored.
• At the buzzer, team that has possession keeps possession.
• If, in any case of a ‘loose’ ball at the buzzer, possessions will alternate.
9. OTHER
• Drop nets will be used. If a ball strikes the drop net a goal will not be awarded. Possession awarded to the goalie.
